Current Playlist

Posted in My Weight-Loss Journey by Rachel

When it comes to workout music, I tend to err on the high energy/good beat side, but as you can see, that’s not always the case (Party in the USA much?). I’m a sucker for my favorites, but I’m always looking for new songs to add. Got suggestions? Leave ‘em here!

Top 5
1. Feel it in My Bones (DJ Tiesto ft Tegan & Sara)
2. Lose It (Eminem)
3. Crazy Possessive (Kaci Battaglia)
4. Bad Romance (Lady Gaga)
5. For a Pessimist, I’m Pretty Optimistic (Paramore)

These songs just never get old.

Also, if you’re in the market for an extra heart-pumping all-in-one workout mix, please allow me to point you in the direction of one of the best workout mixes I have heard to date.

  • Lady GaGa, much? ;) She makes my workout playlist quite a bit, too, lol. You have some others on your list that I'm not familiar with… I'll have to investigate. My playlist could use some freshening up, as well (especially with all the extra running I'll be doing starting tomorrow!!!)

One song that I always recommend for workouts is Sinnerman by Nina Simone (Felix da Housecat's Heavenly House Mix). It's super upbeat and perfect to run to. When I'm on a run, I can't help but pick it up a notch when this one comes on!

I also love Viva la Vida, Coldplay and Gonna Fly Now, the instrumental (with some voice) song from Rocky that they play during his workout montages. Super motivating!

  • You. Are. Fucking. Awesome.
